Heart to Heritage

We have been so devastated since the fire at the Heritage Building. We witnessed it right from our front windows and all we could do was sit there and hope all of the tenants, business owners, employees, customers and guests were okay. We watched the flames shoot up and the brave firefighters push them back. We watched people walking in their pajamas meeting up with their loved ones. We sat with the neighboring building and business owners hoping the fire wouldn't spread to ...them. We sat there helpless, not knowing how many of our neighbor's homes and businesses were gone. We were frozen watching all of these people lose everything.

We quickly realized we had to do everything we could. We went to the shelter first thing the next morning to see what was needed and we immediately starting reaching out, researching, and spreading all of the information we could get. We already knew how amazing Auburn was, but to see how quickly and fiercely this community jumped into action, truly touched us. We live in such a giving and wonderful community!

We know there is a lot more that needs to be done, but for now, we want to help raise some funding for those who lost their homes. The residents of the Heritage Building deserve the best chance to move forward after this horrible incident.
