Best of Northwest-
"Wow, J. Scott Cellars is honored to have been awarded TWO Double Gold medals from SIP Northwest Magazine in this month's annual "Best of the Northwest" issue (October 2017). A distinguished panel of Sommeliers and Wine Experts have chosen our 2016 Sauvignon Blanc and 2014 Grenache as the "Best of the Northwest" in their respective categories. Congratulations to winemaker Jonathan Oberlander and the J. Scott Cellars team!"
"2014 Bradshaw Vineyard Pinot Noir has been awarded 91 Pts. "Strong scents of mint and spice frame a burst of black-cherry fruit. It's followed with highlights of vanilla, coffee, cedar and mocha—suggesting that some innovative barrels were combined here. Overall, it's a potent and quite flavorful wine, ready to enjoy now through 2020."

Our goal is to make wines that evoke clarity: clarity of place, clarity of type, clarity of purpose.
We believe this is best expressed by using the classic French varietals and blends, with methods passed down over generations. We work within this context to allow Washington vineyards and terroirs to distinguish themselves. Terroir is only readily appreciable in a well formed, harmonious wine. Structure is the backbone from which beauty can radiate.

Folks often ask us about our name and our frolicking Jester logo. Friends who knew of the Swiss origin of our name once told us it translates into "village idiot". We continued to investigate (wouldn't you?) and discovered the translation is actually closer to "jester" - an entertainer who tells the truth through comedy.
We think the Jester and wine share the trait of balancing truth and pleasure.
Chris and Dawn Loeliger created TruthTeller Winery after years of practice drinking wine. One memory from their early days together in Dallas, Texas involves an earnest conversation with a wine merchant about which wines might taste best in their aluminum camping cups. Their learning journey has been a long and joyful one. They started making wine, first in garages and backyard sheds, then later in their production facility in Woodinville.
We will be pouring TruthTeller's 2016 Frolic Viognier, 2017 Quip Rose, 2015 Pun Blend, 2015 Wisdom Blend.
Join us for a tasting of Barrage Cellars out of Woodinville!
Barrage Cellars is a family owned boutique winery out of Woodinville. Kevin Corell owner and winemaker is a one man operation who makes wine in the true Garagiste fashion with a focus on terrior and 100% varietals.
Barrage receives fruit from some of the finest vineyards and regions of WA, combined with some of the finest barrels from France. The winemaker isn't against blending grapes of different varietals, but prefers to showcase the elegance and nuances of the single varietals of Washington.
We will be pouring Barrage's 2016 Boushey Vineyard Chardonnay, 2013 "Quinella" Merlot, 2013 "Cease and Desist" Cabernet Franc and 2013 "Double Barrel" Cabernet
